Strategies can be linked to a factory calendar to identify plant holidays and other non-work days that should be avoided in scheduling planned due dates.

Manually-entered requisition

A requisition generated for non-MRP material or a requisition created by a planner to cover anticipated demand not included in MRP.

Name of manufacturer of a material or product.

Mass processing

Mass processing allows you to create demand forecasts for large numbers of products while optimizing system resources. All mass processing jobs run in the background at a time you specify.

The planner defines master forecast profiles to forecast typical historical time series showing the constant, trend or seasonal patterns. The planner needs to define the planning area, time horizon with which the forecast is run over and procedures to be used for the following forecast: univariate, multiple linear regression or composite forecasting.

Model

In Quality Management, a model is the first part or products that have been manufactured using equipment processes and conditions intended for use in the manufacture of the final production series.

Model (APO)

The supply chain model is the basis for all APO planning functions. It covers all areas of the network chain from the supplier's supplier to the customer's customer. The model can be determined by importing the relevant data objects from source systems into APO, or it can be created and maintained solely in APO. Master data from external sources flows into the active APO model (model 000). There can be other models in APO, but none of the others receives data from external systems.
